The patron bring an empty case to the circ-desk and the staff must go and find the item amongst potentially 1000's of disks stashed away behind the desk, and retrieve that item back to the waiting patron at the desk. How it works

 

1. Patron brings various items to the circulation desk to checkout, which may include empty media cases.

 

 

2. Staff checks out the "regular" items, when he/she is processing a media item simply click on LAT-Stena™ icon to retrieve it.

 


 

3. LAT-Stena™ goes to work retrieving the item from its collection. Once item is ready, the POD unit that houses it lights up.

 

4. Staff grabs the item and gives it to patron. Entire cycle is about 4 seconds.
