IMM is designed to function as the gatekeeper of the library’s collection of CD’s, DVDs, and Game Discs. The discs are safe and secure inside the IMM vault awaiting self-checkout by patrons.

IMM stores the discs dynamically, up to 1500 discs. Since the ILS circulation materials database is tracking the entire disc collection, IMM only needs to be concerned with the discs that are actually in the library. IMM dynamically tracks what items have been checked out, checkin, and what items are stored inside the unit.

IMM provides the Library true security for their digital disc materials. Thus, a real solution to the serious problem of skyrocketing theft of digital disc materials.
